Despite This Past: A Story of Friendship and Reconciliation

Our book was written by more than 20 authors from different countries. It has 280 pages and contains nearly 150 illustrations, many of which are historical photographs. The vast majority of pictures are in color. The contents include contributions from members of the Stolperstein project group, descendants of the Nazi victims, students from local schools and colleges, together with reports from contemporary witnesses and specialist contributions with historical background.

To aid orientation, the book contains a 3D map of the old city of Gelnhausen as a poster.

We are sure you will enjoy reading this lively and moving book, in spite of the serious topic it deals with. Due to many generous donations we have received, we can offer “Despite This Past” for the modest price of €12.45.
